さて前回（縄文人は稲作をどう受け入れたのか？①）では、３つのパターンを想定しましたが、今わかっている事実からはどのパターンが近いと思われるか考えてみます。
１．弥生時代になってから人口の増加率が高くなった
これは、稲作による食料の安定供給がおもな理由と考えられているので、この事実だけでは縄文人の稲作への関与はわかりません。
２．形質人類学的には渡来人（北方アジア系）の形質に変化している
弥生時代以降に発掘される人骨の形質が、縄文人のものよりも、渡来人と思われる形質のものが多くなっていくということです。
あ）渡来人同士の子供
い）渡来人と縄文人の混血の子供（ハーフ）
う）ハーフ同士の子供
え）渡来人とハーフの子供
お）縄文人とハーフの子供
か）縄文人同士の子供
きりが無いので、六通りだけにしましが、どちらかと言えば、か）よりも、あ）に近い方が多かった、ということなのではないでしょうか。
３．比較言語学的には、日本語は朝鮮や中国語とは系統が異なる
渡来人が朝鮮や中国系の人たちであるなら、渡来人の言語が現在の日本語にも残っているハズだが、そうではないようです。
本ブログの『日本語 １万年の歴史① 渡来人(4)』のように、渡来人の言語が残らないとすれば、縄文人と渡来人の接触は少なくなかったと思うので、稲作への関与も十分にあったのでしょう。
混血はそれ程多くないが、渡来人の言葉がほぼ消えてしまう程、縄文人との接触があった、ということになりそうですが、一見相反するように見えるこの二つは、どのように繋がるのでしょうか。
