交通事故により脱線したまま、なかなか帰ってこれませんが、脱線ついでに、SETI@HOMEの話を一つ。
なんだかんだと言いながら、続けていました。
解析時間が長く、また、期限があるので、解析の進捗をよく見ながらＰＣを稼動させないといけないという、ちょっとストレスを感じる環境でもありました。
先ほど、手元に残っていたタスクが全て終了したので、しばらくは、タスクを取得せず、解析をお休みしようかと思っています。
①解析の成果が見えてこない
creditという数値だけでは、本当の成果が見えない。
②ＰＣの稼動時間の隙間に解析するには重い
本来、ＰＣの使用時間の合間に解析を行えるように考えられていたはずだが、それだけでは解析が間に合わない。解析する為にＰＣを稼動させているという、逆転現象が起きている。
③エコではない！？
暖房器具程の消費電力ではないが、ＰＣといえども一日数時間以上稼動させていれば、消費電力もバカにならない。
お財布にもやさしくない。
