常夜灯に使われる小丸球に換わるもので、一流メーカー初の製品ではないでしょうか。それまで、Ｅ１２口金のＬＥＤ電球はいくつも製品化されていましたが、５Ｗの小丸球の明るさには遠く及ばないものばかりでした。
実は、随分前よりＥＬＰＡ製のものを使っていました。
ＬＥＤ３つを使った”明るい”とアナウンスされた製品ですが、まだまだ暗いようでした。しかも、リモコン式のシーリングライトで使用すると、消灯にしても完全に消える事がなく、ぼやっとした点灯をします。（微弱な電流が流れている為で、それに反応してしまうようです。）
話が逸れましたが、それに替わるものとして、上記のPanasonic製を取り付けたのですが・・・、結果は家族に不評でした・・・。「明るすぎる」と言うのです。ＥＬＰＡ製を付けたときには、「暗い」と不評だったのに・・・。
結局は元に戻すことになり、Panasonic製をどうしようか悩む事に・・・。￥５９８.-もしたのに！（１００ルーメン当たりの単価は、約６千円ですよ！！）
